Your privacy is important to Sterling Street Financial, a dba of Monera Capital Group LLC (“Sterling Street”, “we”, “us” and “our”). This Online Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, share, use, and protect information when you visit or use this online service and any other product or service offered by or through Sterling Street. This policy covers Sterling Street’s online services, any product or service offered by or through us, as well as any interactions you may have while viewing content provided through one of Sterling Street’s digital advertising campaigns.

General Principles:

  • Our online services are directed and intended for businesses located in the United States.
  • Our online services are not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information.
  • If you have a financial product or service with us, we will use and share any information that we collect from or about you in accordance with this Policy.

Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Website or products or services offered by us or through us. By accessing or using this Website or products or services offered by us or through us, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This Policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of this Website or products or services offered by us or through us after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check this Policy periodically for updates.

Information We Collect

Personal Information
When you visit or use our online services or obtain a product or service from us or through us, we may collect personal information from or about you such as your name, business name, email address, mailing address, telephone number(s), account numbers, user name and password. We may also collect social security number, driver’s license number, financial information (such as bank statements, credit card statement, average bank balance, personal and business credit history, payment behavior, bank account information, tax identification number and beneficial ownership information) when you provide such information and where we believe it is reasonably required for ordinary business purposes.

Information You Submit Through Our Forms
When you complete the funding application or the contact form on this Website, we collect the information you enter into those forms. The fields we ask for are: your full name, your business name, the state in which your business operates, your industry, your monthly revenue range, the amount of funding you are seeking, your intended use of funds, your email address, your telephone number, how you heard about us, and your acknowledgement of the consent disclosure presented with the form. We do not request or collect Social Security numbers, dates of birth, federal tax identification numbers, ownership percentages, electronic signatures or bank statements through the public forms on this Website. Where information of that kind is required, it is requested later in the funding process, through a separate and secure channel, after a member of our team has reviewed your inquiry.

Usage and Other Information
In addition to the personal information described above, we may collect certain information about your use of our online services. For example, we may capture the IP address of the device you use to connect to the online service, the type of operating system and browser you use, and information about the site you came from, the parts of our online service you access, and the site you visit next. We or our third-party partners may also use cookies, web beacons or other technologies to collect and store other information about your visit to, or use of, our online services. In addition, we may later associate the usage and other information we collect online with personal information about you.

Additional Sources of Information
We may also collect information about you from additional online and offline sources including from co-branded partner sites or commercially available third-party sources, such as credit reporting agencies. We may combine this information with the personal and other information we have collected about you under this Online Privacy Policy.

Use Of Information

We use the information that we collect about you or that you provide to us (including any personal information) in a number of ways, such as:

  • To present our website and its content to you
  • To process your applications and transactions
  • To submit your application to funders, funding providers and funding partners in our network so that you can compare offers from multiple funders
  • To verify your identity and conduct appropriate due diligence
  • To register you as a user and identify you when you sign into your account, where we offer such a feature
  • To prevent fraud and enhance the security of your account or our online services
  • To respond to your requests and communicate with you
  • To perform analytics concerning your use of our online services, including your responses to our emails and the pages and advertisements you view
  • To provide you with tailored content and marketing messages
  • To operate, evaluate and improve our business (including developing new products and services; improving existing products and services; performing data analytics; and performing accounting, auditing, and other internal functions)
  • To comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, relevant industry standards, contractual obligations and our policies
  • For any other purposes that we may specifically disclose at the time you provide, or we collect your information
  • For any other purpose with your consent

Because we work with an extensive network of funders, one of the principal purposes for which we use the information you submit through our application and contact forms is to present that information to funders, funding providers and funding partners in our network, so that you can compare offers from multiple funders. Sterling Street is not a lender and does not make credit decisions. Each funder or funding provider reviews your information, makes its own decision on its own terms, and handles your information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

We may also use data that we collect on an aggregate or anonymous basis (such that it does not identify any individual customers) for various business purposes, where permissible under applicable laws and regulations.

Privacy And Sharing Of Information

Sterling Street may share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Policy and as permitted or required by law. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We may share anonymous or aggregated information with third-parties to help deliver products, services, and content that are tailored to the users of our online services and for other purposes without restrictions.
We may disclose personal information that we collect about you or that you provide to us in a number of ways, as described in this Policy. For example, we may share your personal information with:

  • Sterling Street’s subsidiaries and affiliates
  • Funders, funding providers and funding partners in our network, for the purpose of sourcing offers on your application
  • Sterling Street’s bank and lending partners
  • Sterling Street’s contractors, service providers and other third-parties that we use to support our business (and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed to them)

We may also disclose your personal information:

  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process including a bankruptcy proceeding or to respond to any government or regulatory request
  • To third-parties or affiliates in connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Sterling Street’s assets (whether as a going concern or as part of a bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding)
  • To enforce or apply our terms of use, applicable policies, other agreements, including for collection purposes
  • When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to investigate fraud, security or technical issues; to respond to an emergency; or otherwise to protect the rights, property or security of our customers or third parties
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information
  • To any other third-party with your prior consent to do so

Mobile Services

Any information we obtain from you in connection with any mobile service, including SMS services, may include your name, address, mobile phone number, mobile service provider’s name, and your messages’ date, time, and content. In addition to any fee we may charge, your mobile service provider’s standard messaging rates apply to our confirmation and all subsequent SMS correspondence. All charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. We will not be liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS messages, as delivery is subject to your network operator’s effective transmission. SMS message services are provided on an AS-IS basis.  You may opt-out of mobile services via email to info [at] sterlingsf [dot] com or by sending “STOP”, “END”, “QUIT” to the SMS text message you have received.  However, such opting out will not apply to any communications from our other website offerings you have registered for or from the third parties to whom we may have already provided your information.

When you submit an application or a contact form on this Website, you are asked to review and agree to a consent disclosure presented with the form. By providing your contact information, you consent to the sharing of your information with potential lenders or funding providers, and you agree that Sterling Street representatives may contact you via email, autodialed and prerecorded calls, or text messages regarding your interest in lending or financing products and offers. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Your consent to receive communications is not a condition of any purchase. You may withdraw that consent at any time using the opt-out methods described in the “Mobile Services” and “To Opt-Out Of Marketing Communications” sections of this Policy. Withdrawing consent to marketing communications does not withdraw your consent to the sharing of an application you have already submitted, and it does not affect communications we send you about an application that is already in progress.

Understanding Cookies, Web Beacons And Other Tracking Technologies

We, or our service providers, and other companies we work with may deploy and use cookies, web beacons, local shared objects and other tracking technologies for various purposes, such as fraud prevention and monitoring our advertising and marketing campaign performance. Some of these tracking tools may detect characteristics or settings of the specific device you use to access our online services.

Google Analytics And Google Tag Manager
This Website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). The analytics code is delivered to your browser by Google Tag Manager, a tag-management service also provided by Google. Google Tag Manager is only a delivery mechanism: it does not itself set analytics cookies or collect information about how you use this Website. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects information about how visitors use this Website, including the pages you visit and how long you spend on them, the links and forms you interact with, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and details about your device and browser such as screen size, operating system and browser type. It also records the website or search engine that referred you to us. We use this information only to understand how our Website is found and used and to improve it. We do not serve advertising on this Website, and we do not use Google Analytics to target you with advertising or to build retargeting audiences. Google processes this information on our behalf and in accordance with Google’s own privacy policy. When a funding application or contact form is submitted, we record that a submission occurred, along with which form it came from; we do not send your name, business name, email address, telephone number or any other information that identifies you to Google Analytics.

Google Signals
Google Analytics on this Website has Google signals enabled. If you are signed in to a Google account and have turned on Ads Personalization for that account, Google may associate information about your visit with your Google account and combine it with Google's own information about that account. This allows Google to provide us with aggregated reports about our visitors — such as age ranges, general interest categories, and whether visitors reach our Website from more than one of their devices. These reports are aggregated and anonymized before we see them: we cannot identify you from them, and Google withholds them entirely below minimum visitor thresholds. We do not use Google signals data to advertise to you. If you prefer not to be included, you can turn off Ads Personalization in your Google account at My Ad Center, review or delete the activity Google has associated with your account at My Activity, and use the cookie and opt-out controls described below.

You have choices about this. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and doing so will limit or prevent Google Analytics from recognizing your device on return visits. Google also publishes a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from collecting information about your visits to any website. Blocking these cookies does not prevent you from using this Website or from submitting an application to us.

If we deploy additional tracking technologies beyond those described here, we will update this Policy accordingly.

Do Not Track

Many web browsers possess a do-not-track feature that lets your browser tell websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activities tracked. As described in the sections above, this Website measures how visitors use our own pages through Google Analytics, and if you are signed in to a Google account with Ads Personalization turned on, Google may associate that measurement with your Google account as described under "Google Signals." Beyond that, we do not use that measurement, or any other technology on this Website, to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites. No industry standard has been adopted for how a website should respond to a do-not-track signal, and this Website does not respond differently to those signals. If you would prefer that Google Analytics not collect information about your visit, you can use the browser cookie controls or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on described in the section above.

Linking To Third-Party Websites

Sterling Street may provide links to websites that are owned or operated by other companies (“third party websites”). When you use a link online to visit a third-party website, you will be subject to that website’s privacy and security practices, which may be different from ours. We expressly disclaim any responsibility and/or liability for all content made available to you on third-party websites. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy and terms and conditions of any website you visit. You should familiarize yourself with the privacy notice/policy, terms of use and security practices of the linked third-party website before providing any information on that website.

Data Security

Sterling Street takes the security of your information very seriously. We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Information you submit through the forms on this Website is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our lead management system, where it is stored on secure cloud hosting and is not saved to local computers. It is used and shared only as described in this Policy. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

Accessing/Updating/ Correcting Your Information

Keeping the information we hold about you up-to-date is very important. This Website does not offer a customer login or online account, so to review, update or correct the information you have provided to us, or to request that we delete it, please call us at 866-777-0535 during our business hours of Monday through Friday, 8AM to 6PM, or email us at info [at] sterlingsf [dot] com at any time. Changes To This Online Privacy Policy

Sterling Street reserves the right to amend this Policy at our discretion and at any time. Any changes to this Online Privacy Policy will become effective when posted unless indicated otherwise.
